Houshi is the oldest ryokan in Japan with 1,300 years and 46 generations of history and tradition. Houshi features the traditional "sukiya"-style rooms, and public spaces with a variety of facilities and open air baths. The large garden which includes moss-covered trees and rocks as well as hundreds of colored carps shows the elegance and subtle and profound atmosphere.

15 minutes on bus from JR Awazu Station bound for Awazu Onsen. Get off at Awazu onsen and 3 minutes walk. 10 minutes by taxi from JR Awazu Station.
