Our inn is located at Sanjo Oohashi, the terminus of the old fifty-three stage Tokaido road, and is surrounded by the 36 peaks of Higashiyama. From the rooftop you can see five of the six Daimonji okuribi fires of the Obon festival. The procession for the Jidai Matsuri, one of the three great festivals, passes right in front of the inn. Nearby is the Sanjo Terminal, convenient for walking tours of the ancient capital. Also perfect for nighttime walking tours of the places made familiar in songs, like Ponto-cho, Kiyamachi and Hanami-koji.

20 minutes by bus from Kyoto Station bound for Iwakura. Get off at Keihan 3 jou bus terminal, 2 minutes walk. 1minute walk from subway Tozai Line, 3 jou Keihan station. 15 minutes by car from JR Kyoto station.
