Henjokoin is located at top of Mt. Koyasan, about 800m above see level. It is opened by Saint Kukai Kobodaishi about 1200 years ago and the temple that used to be the Imperial chamber for Emperor Shirakawa in the past. Please enjoy the long traditional cultivated life. A lot of cultural assets designated as important Japan's national treasures are displayed and appreciate to see directly. The rooms are facing the bright new garden with fusuma (Japanese-style sliding door) covered with gold dust.

15 minutes on bus from Nankai Koya Line Koyasan Station bound for Okunoin. Get off at Renge-dani and 1 minute walk. 15 minutes by taxi from Nankai Koya Line Koyasan Station.
