Greenpia Sanriku Miyako is situated in the Taro district of Miyako City which was devastated by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. Guests can learn about how the area has been rebuilt as well as disaster prevention from a guide. Visitors can also enjoy the wonderful fresh seafood caught off the coast that has recovered since the disaster.

  • 10 minutes by taxi from Taro Station, Kita Rias Line of Sanriku Railway
  • 43 minutes by public bus from JR Miyako Station
  • Two and a half hour drive from Morioka Minami Interchange, Tohoku Expressway. Exit the Morioka Minami Interchange and continue along Route 106 before switching to Route 45.
