Gion Shinmonso is situated in Gion district in Kyoto by the riverside of the beautiful Shirakawa River. Maiko girls can be spotted in the evening. In June, fireflies will flit at the banks of the Shirakawa. Only a 5 minute walk to Sanjo-Keihan Bus Terminal and 7-8 minutes to Yasaka Jinja Shrine and Chionin Temple.
